Don’t ever forget how magical it actually is that there is a system that allows you to send someone a note and items in the mail.

Over the past week, we got the news that parents and grandparents have been waiting for that vaccines are moving along and getting a timeline for our children! And as the case rates surge here in Oregon, we could not be more relieved. Our son returned to in-person school a couple of weeks ago, after playing with no other children for over a year. That’s right, he didn’t get to have in-person friends for the entire time that he was six years old. We opted for grandparents in-person and friends by Zoom and Facetime.


These spectacular animals don’t deserve their spooky bad rep!

When you think of podcasts, you might see them as solely entertainment for your family — listening to them as part of your children’s bedtime rituals or when you are out-and-about in the car. Both are fantastic reasons to listen, but did you know that there are numerous podcasts worthy of being a part of your homeschooling day?

Podcasts give children a much-needed break from screen time to engage them in “active listening.” Research has shown that active listening through audio increases focus, concentration, and comprehension; broadens vocabulary, and builds critical thinking.
